Hot

112 yesterday. 111 today and more in the teens and low hundreds into next week. I've even heard 114 or 115 being thrown around. The Kids have been living in the pool. Even Angus thinks it's too hot to go outside until after dark. I'm thinking walkies will be well after the sun goes down.

I'm going to cover myself with ice and think cool thoughts.

Too hot for me, too, even before we moved to Alaska!

Sarge and Rev. Paul - Me too. We've been running the AC on high and doing a lot of soaking in the pool. Luckily Lu and I put in a sun shade just before the kids arrived. We're watching Angus carefully and keeping him from activity out in the Sun. Hoping for a break in a few days.

It got to 101 out here. The weatherman keeps saying that thunderstorms are on the way but I think he's doing that just to piss me off.

Thunderstorms out here are like a politicians promises, they sound great but never really come through for you.

You all are in my thoughts. Dad said it was in the upper 80's up north, and living by a body of water, it cools down a little better at night so he's doing OK. If it gets above that, he'll go stay with the grandkids, they have central air.

Be safe.

Nothing quite like that 5 p.m. Julep to take the heat off the day Six. Historically, Kentucky farmers started the day with a Julep to keep the ache out of the day but the evening one is better served. Don't forget the sterling cup though! regards, Alemaster

Keep that pool topped up, and that ice machine running, Six!

Just keep telling yourself, "But it's a dry heat..." and maybe you can convince yourself it is true...or NOT! ;-)

Agreed Instinct. I really don't think the weather guys have any clue.

LOL Dann!

Glad he's got a fallback Brigid. 80's up there is dang hot. Thanks for the good thoughts!

Absolutely Alemaster. A nice cool sip of something smooth sounds pretty dang good right about now.

LOL. You know it Vic!!
